Southwest Blackened Catfish

This recipe uses the following products:
S.W. Blackening Rub


  • 2-8oz fillets of catfish
  • 1 pkg. Los Chileros Southwest Blackening Rub
  • 2 celery stalks cut 1/2 inch
  • 1 med onion julienne 1/4 inch
  • 2 carrots cut in small pieces

Generously coat catfish with SW Blackening Rub. Place vegetables in roasting pan and lay coated fish on top of vegetables, bake in oven at 350º for 12 minutes until tender. Also try with poultry, beef or pork. This is a great dish to serve with Yukon or small red mashed potatoes.

Additional Tips


  • 2 - 8 oz. fillete de pescado
  • 1 paquete de Los Chileros S.W. Blackening Rub
  • 2 tallos de apio picados
  • 1 cebolla mediana finamente picada
  • 2 zanahorias picadas

Abundantemente forme una capa alrededor de los pescados con nuestro Southwest Blackening Rub. Ponga todos los vegetales en un sarten para asar y los pescados coloquelos encima, hornee a 350º F por 12 minutos o hasta que esten blanditos. Tambien puedes usar con carnes blancas, carne de res o de puerco. Este es un platillo delicioso que se puede servir con Yukon o papas tituradas (molidas).
