"Ai Chihuahua" (Pasilla Negro Chile Sauce)

This recipe uses the following products: Chile Negro - Whole 2 oz.

3 Los Chileros Chile Negro chiles
1 cup boiling water
1/2 large red onion
3 large tomatoes
1 teaspoon sugar
3 cloves garlic
salt to taste

Methods/steps

Soak negro chiles in boiling water for 8-10 minutes. Remove most of the seeds and combine with water used to boil chiles, and remaining ingredients in a blender. Blend to desired consistency. Salt to taste. Use as an enchilada sauce or serve with blue corn tortilla chips as a dip.

Salsa de Chile Negro "ay! Chihuahua"

3 Chiles Negros
1 taza de agua hervida
1/2 cebolla roja grande
sal al gusto
3 tomates grandes
1 cucharada de azucar
3 dientes de ajo

Remoje los chiles en agua hirviendo de 8 a 10 minutos. Remueva las semillas y combine con el agua usada para remojar los chiles, y el resto de los ingredientes en una licuadora. Licue hasta alcanzar la consistencia deseada, adhiera sal al gusto. Puedo usarse como salsa para enchiladas o servirse con tostaditas de maiz azul (Blue Corn Tortillas Chips) como aperitivo.
